This exhibition of work by Osma Harvilahti (born 1983) addresses contemporary design through photography. Harvilahti is a Paris-based photographer who concentrates in his work on exploring design, fashion and the use of colour. His clients include partamento Magazine, SSAW, Hermès, Issey Miyake and Louis Vuitton. Alongside commercial photos, this exhibition features personal series of works in which Harvilahti studies his subjects of interest from a documentary and sociological perspective. The exhibition is part of a series in which Design Museum invites young internationally successful Finns working in design to “come home” to exhibit their work.

New Color introduces Harvilahti’s works from 2011–2019. The exhibition premieres a series commissioned by Louis Vuitton. In the summer 2019 the French fashion house publishes Saint-Tropez themed photo book by Harvilahti. The publication is part of the Louis Vuitton Fashion Eye series, where fashion photographer is invited to revive a particular geographical area, city or landmark.
