Finnish Fashion Awards was created by Juni Communication to celebrate the Finnish creative spirit, the local fashion community and its amazing talent.

The Finnish Fashion Awards 2025 event takes place 23rd of May at 20.00 at the Finlandia Hall.

The awards will be given out in the following categories:

New Talent

Finland is known for its creative talent. The New Talent category literally highlights the extraordinary talent and international potential of a young and emerging Finnish designer. The award is given in partnership with Stockmann.

Branding

Branding is an essential part of starting, running and growing a fashion business. Acknowledging great brand work is an example to the whole industry. The award is given in partnership with 1664 Blanc.

Scaling

To grow a business is to scale a business. The award will reward an achievement in scaling Finnish company’s business to international markets. The award is given in partnership with Zalando.

Retail

Retail is a complex combination of sales, store concept, service, culture and introducing new ideas to customers. You just know a great store when you see one.

Photography

Striking imagery shapes how we experience fashion. This award honors a photographer whose work has defined or elevated the visual language of Finnish fashion.

Hyvon Award for innovation in the textile industry

The transformation of the textile industry requires new solutions. The Hyvon Award supports the textile industry by annually rewarding an innovation that is based on or utilizes research and promotes sustainability and renewal.

The Hyvon Award can be awarded to a product, service, concept or process that strengthens the Finnish textile industry and is scalable for wider use. The award is worth 5,000 euros and is granted from the KAUTE Foundation’s Laura and Aarne Karjalainen Special Fund.

Sustainability Action Award

Sustainability has (to) become the core of every fashion business. FFA awards the best achievement in sustainability. The award is given in partnership with LAB Institute of Design and Fine Arts.

Beauty   

In shows and/or shoots the beauty professionals are crucial to the success of the production. The award celebrates great individual work in hair and makeup. 

Fashion for Happiness Award

Finland is the world’s happiest country eight years in a row. Social responsibility is a key in continuing on this path. The Fashion for Happiness Award looks at the fashion industry from a societal perspective and is given in partnership with Helsinki Partners.
