Clothing and values – sustainability of the clothing industry from the perspective of employees, manufactures, commerce and investors
Are you responsible for the economic, environmental and social impacts caused by your clothing purchasing-decisions? How does the sustainability of the clothing and textile industry look like from the perspective of employees, companies, manufacturers, commerce, investors and ownership?
Come join us and engage in a discussion, where the sustainability of the clothing industry is assessed. Questions posed, for example, relate to the following: should we be concerned about the quality of clothing and their ability to withstand wear and tear, or should we be concerned about the sustainability of manufacturing in relation to the environment? And who is responsible for the human rights of employees and sustainable development?
Joining us in conversation:
Anna Hyrske, Head of Responsible Investments, Ilmarinen
Matti Kalervo, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, Kesko
Anna-Kaisa Auvinen, Managing Director, Finnish Textile and Fashion
Janne Ronkainen, Program Leader, The Trade Union Solidarity Center of Finland (SASK)
The event will be hosted by Sami Sykkö, a reporter specialized in fashion and the global fashion industry. The event is both open and free for all. Register to the event here.
